Getting Around Kuala Lumpur

Airports
There are two airports:Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) at Sepang is 55 km from the city and Subang Airport
(Domestic Flights) is 12 km from the city, just a quick taxi ride away.

Train

Taxi/limo
Obtain the coupons for taxi/limo at the counters, which are located outside the International Arrival Area. Please note that the fares shown below are normal rates. For services between 00.00 - 06.00, an extra 30% will be added to the normal rates. Fares are charged according to the zone and are subject to change, but can vary between RM67.40 - RM180.40 into Kuala Lumpur.

Car Rental
There are many car rental companies and the list can be found online from the airport's website. Chauffeur driven cars are
usually available if you reserve from the hotel early.

Public transport
The most common way of getting around in Kuala Lumpur is by driving. There may be light traffic jams during rush hours but nothing serious. Taxi
If you are not familiar with the city and only staying for a short period, taxis can be the most convenient way of getting about. Taxis are easily available and economical. Meter starts from RM2 (first 2 km) and then 10 sen for every 200 m thereon. An extra 50 percentage is added for services between 24.00 (midnight) and 6.00.
